Man, did I, struggle with that tree! Looking at it now, I definitely wouldn't have made those first two panels, and would've done a cool no-square drawing combining them. Oh well.
I love christmas, and Humbug IS very much inspired by the ghostly aspect of A Christmas Carol, but it wasn't until recently (one year after this comic strip was published) that someone asked me if my characters follow the christmas religious aspect of the season. I hadn't even thought about that, as I personally only tend to celebrate the decoration aspect and kinda keep a blind eye to all that other stuff. I bet Charles Dickens looooves that.
That being said, religion is a funky thing to take into account when it comes to Humbug, because the concept of faith is pretty inspiring to my philosophy of belief, in this case, belief in the supernatural/paranormal. I bet my catholic teacher looooves that.
So, just like my characters entertain the idea of Christmas, I entertain the idea of ghosts, any questions?
Seo law wants funky fresh words so you end up here so: webcomic, comic strip, comic, fun, funny, ghost, ghost stories, Humbug comic, etc.
